My passion for cooking started way back when I was small enough to sit cross legged on the counter, asking my mom hundreds of questions while she cooked dinner. Today, not much has changed other than the fact that I no longer fit on the countertop. My mom is an amazing cook and everything I know I've learned from watching her in the kitchen over the years. Like a true pro, she never writes down her recipes and does everything to taste. This is both admirable and frustrating at the same time, especially when I try to recreate a dish she's been making for me for the past 20+ years and can't seem to get the measurements right.

Baking is another obsession of mine that is like therapy to me. I'm not sure if that comes from my mom's innate weakness for any kind of pastry/baked good or from my aunt who is a natural when it comes to baking. Under any stressful situation, you can find me in the kitchen with some flour spilt on my leggings and a little bit of dough on my face. I'm serious--you should try it. In a bad mood? Roll out some dough for cinnamon rolls. There is indescribable pleasure both in the making and eating : ) Believe me, it's impossible to be stressed with the buttery smell of fresh cinnamon rolls wafting through the air.

Easy Like Sunday is a combination of my favorite comfort foods, guilty pleasure baked goods, and a travel/ramblings blog. Stay a while and get hungry.
